The project's goal was to use geometric forms as foundational elements, creating abstracted illustrations of two distinct scenes from Selby Gardens, Sarasota. These scenes were then transformed into a three-frame design board for a :10-second animation, linking the two locations without camera movement.
Inspired by "Creativity Explained - Layout - Oddfellows," I crafted a whimsical collage design capturing the essence of Selby Gardens, blending plant enthusiasm with book-pressing nostalgia. Playful overlaps and natural elements create a vibrant, immersive nature experience. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator were employed to experiment with various mediums, adding intrigue and energy, such as simulating 3D inflated effects in Illustrator. This project also allowed me to challenge myself to integrate type more effectively, to exaggerate the curiosity in viewers’ minds.
